MASH TUN (MT)

Mash Tun is a tank where the ground malt and water are mixed and heated to convert the starches into sugars. This process is called mashing, and the result is a sweet liquid called wort. Mash tun is mainly used for brewing ales and other top-fermented beers, using a single-temperature or multi-temperature infusion mash. Mash tun can have different sizes, and it has a cylindrical body with a cone-shaped bottom that allow the wort to drain out. Mash tun can affect the flavor, body, and clarity of the beer, depending on the temperature, time, and pH of the mash.

Mash tun is an important component of the brewhouse, where the wort is prepared before boiling, hopping, and fermenting.

Our version of mash tun can also be used as a BOIL KETTLE. Boil kettle is a tank where the wort, the sweet liquid extracted from the malt, is boiled with hops, the flowers that add bitterness and aroma to the beer. In the boil kettle you stop the enzyme activity, extract the hop components, coagulate the proteins and polyphenols, concentrate the wort, develop the color, and remove the unwanted volatiles.

LAUTER TUN (LT)

Lauter Tun is a tank where the wort, the sweet liquid extracted from the malt, is separated from the grain bed. Lauter tun works like a large sieve, with a slotted bottom that holds the grain while allowing the wort to filter through. Lauter tun can improve the clarity, efficiency, and consistency of the brewing process, as it removes the solids, stops the enzyme activity, and recycles the water.

Lauter tun has a cylindrical body and a motorized rake system that cuts through the grain bed. Lauter tun is an essential component of the brewhouse, where the wort is prepared before boiling, hopping, and fermenting.

WHIRLPOOL (WP)

Whirlpool tank is a device that uses a whirlpool technique to separate solid particles, such as hop fragments and protein clumps, from the liquid wort after boiling.

Whirlpool tank works by creating a circular motion in the wort, either by stirring or pumping, that causes the particles to move to the center of the bottom of the tankin a cone-shaped mass. Whirlpool tank can improve the quality, appearance, and shelf life of the beer, as it removes haze, yeast, and other impurities.

Whirlpool tank is a key component of the brewhouse, where the wort is prepared before fermentation. Whirlpool tank can have different shapes and sizes, depending on the capacity and needs of the brewery.

Ready to simplify your processing?

Let us help you. Describe your needs as best you can with the help of the form below. Our friendly staff will contact you with helpful suggestions and describe the next steps.

1) You order a tank.

You receive our quote and decide whether you want to change it. If you're satisfied, we move onto the design and engineering phase.

2) We design it.

You give us inputs based on the drawings we send you. It is an iterative process and we only stop when you're 100% satisfied.

3) You approve the plans.

You sign the final version of the drawing and email it to us. We then schedule the tank for manufacture. You still have some time for making small changes.

4) We manufacture it.

Your final tank design enters the production line. It is assembled from high-grade stainless steel using advanced welding techniques.

5) You take delivery.

Your tank is shipped out to you, including a manual and proper maintenance guide. We'll always be there for you to provide assistance.
